1800年前的猫王石像
人的观点经常可能随着时空而产生截然不同的意义，譬如说下面这张图的那尊雕像，大概只要受过美国流行文化污染熏陶的人，都会轻易认出：这是猫王Elvis Presley吧。
然而，事实上，这尊大理石雕像却是1800年前的古罗马装饰。
The Roman Elvis is in fact a genuine marble acroterion – a kind of architectural ornament often found for decoration on the corners of a sarcophagus, a stone tomb or burial chamber.
虽然观者都觉得这雕像真是像极了猫王，不过，从时间轴的序列来看，若不是出于巧合，就应该是猫王造型的灵感来源。也就是说，是猫王像这尊雕像，而非雕像像猫王。
